Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026. Please read these terms carefully before using ShareMiles.
Platform role
- ShareMiles is a technology platform that connects private drivers and passengers for cost-sharing intercity travel.
- We are not a transport operator, taxi service, or travel agent. Drivers remain independently responsible for their vehicles, licenses, insurance, and compliance with Motor Vehicles Act requirements.
User responsibilities
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials secure.
- Drivers must hold a valid driving license, maintain roadworthy vehicles, and carry appropriate insurance coverage.
- All users must treat fellow travelers respectfully and follow applicable traffic and safety laws.
- Misrepresentation, harassment, or fraudulent activity may result in immediate account suspension.
Bookings and payments
- Fare amounts shown on listings are agreed between driver and passenger on the platform.
- Payment collection is not yet integrated. Travelers should agree on payment method directly after contact is unlocked.
Cancellations and disputes
- Either party may cancel pending or accepted bookings in-app with a reason.
- After departure, both travelers confirm whether the ride happened. Disputes may be reported for moderation review.
Limitation of liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShareMiles is not liable for accidents, delays, property loss, or disputes arising from trips arranged between users.
- The platform is provided on an as-is basis.
